Uniqlo's Heattech

For those who are not familiar with Uniqlo, it is a Japanese brand that offers durable, high quality clothes at a reasonable price. Due to the recent cold snap we've been facing in New York, I bought a few of their Heattech items in an effort to keep warm.

Their thermal shirts are amazing. I purchased a crew neck t-shirt, and I love how thin it is. It's perfect for layering, and it definitely holds in more heat than my other thermal shirts. I would recommend the scoop neck t-shirt since they are less likely to show under sweaters and blouses.

I also got their Heattech jeans so I wouldn't have to layer my bottoms, but I found them to be okay. They are more like thick jeans so they keep me warm until a certain temperature (around 30 degrees F). But on days when it's around 20 degrees F and I wear these, I still feel a little cold.

Their heattech socks are cute but don't do much to keep my feet warm, which is a bummer. But I'm not sure if it's because I put them in the dryer. Perhaps I'm supposed to line dry them like their thermal shirts.

Anyway, I highly recommend their layering tops and bottoms. They are so soft and work well to keep the warmth in. But I would pass on the Heattech jeans/socks. Hope this helps anyone considering buying Uniqlo's Heattech items. I also heard good things about their light down jackets. The sales associate explained that they are good for keeping warm until 30 degrees F, but you can layer with a fleece jacket to keep warm during the colder days.
